About the employer

About us Our mission is to set a new standard in the style and quality of childcare through safe, caring and stimulating environments with carers and teachers who actively encourage creativity, learning and play. When my oldest daughter Amy, then aged 2, started at our local Montessori Nursery, I was witness to an extraordinary transformation; within weeks she was flourishing in terms of her confidence, self-esteem and happiness. It was an experience that made a huge impression on me and, years later, prompted a long period of retraining and chasing the dream of setting up my own nursery with my wife, Shirley. The Pelican Nursery opened its doors in 2007 to two eager toddlers and has grown to the point where we now have over ninety children across our two sites. Over the years we have worked with the children of hundreds of local families and had the wonderful opportunity to share with their parents both the joy and the challenges that babies and pre-schoolers bring.
