What will the apprentice be doing?

To be successful as an apprentice, you must have great time management skills and be willing to work with other team members. Outstanding apprentices are those who respond well to constructive criticism, build good relationships with colleagues, and ultimately make a lasting positive impression:

  • Locating and identifying leaks.
  • Repairing or replacing pipes and parts.
  • Determining the right tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete a job.
  • Assisting with preparing cost estimates for clients.
  • Helping the Plumber to ensure that all work is in accordance with health and safety codes.
  • Cleaning the job site after the work is completed.
  • Answering client queries.
  • Following the Plumbers' orders and instructions.
  • Ensuring the right materials are available in good time in order to improve completion rates

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Plumbing Level 3 standard Apprenticeship.

4 days per week with UPS and 1 day per week at Wigan & Leigh College.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

On successful completion, The potential opportunity to be taken on, on permanent contract for the right candidate.
