    We aim to pay above minimum wage, depending on ability and experience, we are open to wage increases as apprentice progresses.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Operatives will work individually or as part of a team to carry out a range of engineering operations which could include ensuring machines and equipment used are maintained and serviceable, dealing with breakdowns.
  • Operating a variety of manual and automated machines including repair and maintenance of machines and tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Fabrication of a wide variety of products and assembly of metal parts.
  • Preparing materials and equipment for engineering processes, providing technical support as required.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Engineering Operative Level 2.

The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course. This is a Day Release programme which means you will attend Lincoln College, 1 day per week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.
