    After 12 months payment will be increased to £7.50 as long as targets and coursework are up to date, and all met. After the successful completion of the apprenticeship, pay will be reviewed again.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Dealing with incoming calls and raising tickets or faults where needed
  • Document review to ensure all relevant information is available and required for all customer journeys (from sales to in-life)
  • Ordering and provisioning new telephone numbers for customers ready for their installation with the potential to project manage
  • Working with 3rd party providers to ensure that customers receive regular updates on orders or tickets
  • Ordering phone systems for new installations
  • Dealing with potential billing enquiries
  • Cross-communicating between UC support and sales where needed to ensure we deliver the customer's expectations
  • Escalating enquiries to the appropriate team, when necessary
  • Provide additional administrative support for other departments within the business on an ad-hoc basis as and when required

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • There will be exposure to most departments in the business which will mean that no day is ever the same
  •  As well as the apprenticeship course, there is also in-house training through our reseller platform to ensure that you are able to get in-depth training on the products we sell, how they work and how we support them
  • Once successfully completed, the role will have more than likely progressed into a role of its own as we are growing at a fast pace meaning there is huge potential for growth in the department

Things to consider

•Telecoms is a technology enthusiast industry to get into and sometimes may be hard to understand. Once the basics are understood, it is a lot easier to get to grips with things. •Ordering lines and provisioning can be very confusing and good attention to detail is required in this department. •You may deal with frustrated customers from time to time, it is important to understand basic customer service and to deal with customers in the correct mannerism.

Associated Telecom is a telecom provider supplying businesses throughout the UK. We are currently the highest ranked on Google in the midlands. We sell mobile, VoIP, broadband and connectivity. There are two sides of the business currently which include UC (unified comms) and mobile. Our mobile side of the business is the oldest and we have over 4,000 connected users and 350 landline customers which are forever growing each month, over the past 18 months our customer base has almost doubled. We are currently based in an office in Telford but are aware that we are beginning to outgrow the office. Over the past 6 months, we have expanded our sales team and support team and have been named Fastest Growing Partner by our Partner. The office is open-planned and we are huge on team building and have multiple team bonding and building days throughout the months and year. This role will be based on our UC Support team. This team is currently made up of 6 team members, but we expect this to grow over the next 12 months.
