What will the apprentice be doing?
- Apply advanced mathematical, scientific and engineering principles, methods and modelling to the design of fire engineering solutions
- Research and critically evaluate complex fire engineering systems, products and processes
- Contribute to the planning and assessing of appropriate design solutions and contribute to their refinement, evaluation and quality improvement
- Apply appropriate and relevant specialist fire safety guidance and codes of practice
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will attend university one day a week where you will study towards you Fire Safety Engineering degree (Bachelor of Engineering accredited by the Engineering Council). This will include attending classes, completing assignments and completing relevant work tasks to obtain evidence.
You will have the full support of your wider team, as well as a line manager, mentor and buddy, and a dedicated learning & development team
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon completion we would like to see your continued employment at Mott Macdonald where you can expect to take a more senior role in ongoing and future projects as well as possibly training future junior/apprentice team members.
There is an option to conintue your professional development through further courses, events and company provided training.
