What will the apprentice be doing?

The following are examples of activities the role holder could get involved in. This is not an exhaustive list, and further ad hoc tasks should be expected. Similarly it is not necessarily expected that the individual will be involved in all the tasks listed.

• Assistance with gathering information for preparation of UK corporation tax returns
• Preparation of withholding tax relief forms
• Monitoring/tracking group tax compliance and ensuring all filings saved to central repository
• Liaising with overseas finance teams to collect and record statutory and management reporting submissions
• Review of basic financial data and the opportunity to analyse more complex information with experience
• Ad hoc analysis to support budget and strategic planning
• Support the accounting team to process banking payments, supplier invoices and supplier payment queries
• Assist senior members of the team with key financial review controls, such as revenue recording
• Collect and perform basic reviews of insurance renewal information
• Complete integrity and consistency checks of the group’s management and external accounts
• Helping to administrate the HMRC portal for all UK taxes
• Helping to administrate the group banking platform
• Assisting with new account set ups across all jurisdictions in which Renold operates
• General cash/liquidity management, for example monitoring daily cash and providing assistance with collating monthly cash forecasts prepared by regional accountants
• Assisting with ongoing bank account related compliance
• Assisting with drafting intragroup loan agreements, ongoing tracking/monitoring
• Providing assistance to group finance team in relation to interim and year end external audit
• Providing assistance to the group finance team in relation to the production of the annual report
