The Engineering and Maintenance Apprentice supports the Engineering Team in all electrical and mechanical works within the field of Cast Nylon manufacturing. This apprenticeship will allow the Apprentice to gain experience across all areas of the business as they will participate in a rotation of various key departments within the organisation.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Learning and understanding the importance of Health and Safety within the workplace.
- Observing, learning and understanding a wide range of engineering skills and processes while under the instruction of skilled technical staff.
- Understand the process and develop skills required for sourcing/procuring of parts from Suppliers in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Assist in preventative maintenance and routine scheduling servicing where required.
- To be flexible and carry out other reasonable requests made by the line manager to support departmental or company objectives.
- Ensure work is carried out to the highest standard and in the interest of the company.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician covers 7 roles: Electrical Technician; Mechanical
Technician; Control and Instrumentation Technician; Wind Turbine Technician, Electrical System and
Process Control Technician, Electromechanical Technician and Plant Operations Technician. - Advanced apprenticeship Level 3
- This course is delivered as a day release.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Successful completion of the apprenticeship modules may result in the offer of a full-time position as an engineer. This is providing the apprentice works within the company rules and guidelines which will be explained during their induction.
