What will the apprentice be doing?

This role will involve supporting our lettings manager and property manager, enabling skills to be developed in our letting and management department.

You will be required to deal with:

  • Finding new business
  • Viewings
  • Selecting and referencing
  • Moving tenant’s in
  • First point of contact for Landlord & Tenants
  • Organising property maintenance
  • Arrange inventories
  • Gas safety renewals / EPC's
  • Inspections
  • Check out’s
  • Tenancy renewals
  • Taking payments, receipts, statements

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 3 Housing Property Management Apprenticeship Standard
  • Bi-monthly sessions via Teams (minimum) 
  • Full on-the-job training and support will be provided to enable the successful applicant to undertake the full range of duties required of the role
  • 15% off the job learning required and evidenced in a log provided
  • End-Point Assessment conducted by an external provider (interview, portfolio and synoptic test)

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Once apprenticeship is completed, there is the opportunity for a permanent role, but this is not always guaranteed

Things to consider

Driving Licence is essential due to the viewings and inventory requirements, however, someone working towards achieving a full driver's license may be acceptable. More will be discussed at interview.
