The successful applicant will work within various departments across the Housing and Property Services division, to assist our customers who live in our community. We know that we are only as good as the people that make us, but we’re short of one person, specific to this role - could it be you? Primarily responsible for the administrative support in the creation and sustainment of successful tenancies and leaseholds in both social and private housing sectors.

New starters under 21 years old will receive £12,632 per annum. After 12 months service, this increases to £16,394 per annum. Entrants aged over 21 years old will receive the Foundation Living Wage - £21,029

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Working with different teams across Housing and Property Services to learn about their functions
- Providing administrative support
- Providing a professional service for our customers, either on the telephone, in person or via electronic communication
- Networking with NKDC colleagues and other apprentices
- Preparation and presentation of a corporate project to our Senior Management Team
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The successful candidate will work towards Apprenticeship Standard: Housing and Property Management Assistant, Level 2.
You will be assigned a tutor who will train and support you to achieve the qualification. You will have regular monthly tutorials and will be provided with online resources to assist your learning.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The successful candidate will gain valuable insight into the workings of the Council to enable them to apply for various roles across the Housing and Property Services division, as vacancies arise.
