What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties will include:

  • Preparation of accounts
  • Inputting of client data into the accounts production system
  • Preparation of adjusted profits to HMRC guidelines
  • Preparation of files for the Associates and managers to review
  • Provide support to the accounts seniors and managers
  • Processing the amendments of the accounts following review
  • Contacting clients directly as required
  • Candidates will be expected to attend college and study towards the The Association of Accounting Technician's qualification 

Reporting to - Senior Accountants/Managers & Associates.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The role will consist of attending training towards either the Level 3 or Level 4 AAT qualification as part of an accountancy apprenticeship each week at Peak Accountancy Training at their Chester site. 

There is weekly attendance and the apprentice will also be visited in the workplace to enable them to evidence the work they are carrying out as part of their apprenticeship. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Career progression options could include the opportunity to study a Level 4 and possibly a Level 7 accountancy apprenticeship.
