What will the apprentice be doing?
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a level 2 apprenticeship to join our team here at Murton Equestrian Centre.
Due to the success of our current Level 3 apprentice which led to the completion of Level 3, BHS Stage 3 and BHS Stage 2 Teach, we need to fill one of the apprentice roles as they have moved to full time emloyment with ourselves.
The apprenticeship will be in conjunction with Northumberland College Equestrian Centre at Kirkley Hall but all training will be provided by the Centre. We also highly encourage apprentices to join the BHS Career pathway and support them throughout their time with us.
- You will be involved with a very busy riding school, livery yard and BHS training/assessment centre.
- Mucking out and fresh bedding
- Hoof checking and cleaning
- Clearing and cleaning stables and yard
- Grooming when necessary
- Checking feed and water on a daily basis
- Supporting with vet visits
- Riding and exercising
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Full Equine Groom Level 2 Standard
All training to be delivered at the employers premises.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On completion of the level 2 apprenticeship an opportunity to proceed to level 3 apprenticeship could be available. We like our apprentices to stay with us and there will be a possibility to enter full time employment with our team.
