What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Consultation
  • Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
  • Cut hair using a range of techniques to create a variety of looks
  • Style and finish hair using a range of techniques to create a variety of looks
  • Colour and lighten hair using a range of techniques
  • Perming hair
  • Receptionist skills
  • Helping stylist
  • General good house keeping

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Hairdressing Level 2.

The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course. This is a Day Release programme which means you will attend Lincoln College, 1 day per week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.

We are situated next to the castle walls and its two car parks, offering a friendly and professional service. Mark Jeffs has spent the last thirteen years attracting the best hairdressers to the hair studios in Cobb Hall. Stylists who have owned their own salon, managed salons and worked in top salons, such as the Covent Garden Vidal Sassoon’s, have joined Mark in numbers. twenty very experienced stylists now work in Cobb Hall. The studios are intimate, individually designed salons where most of the hairdressers work for themselves as independent stylists. This means they have a vested interest in offering the very best service. Mark and his team update their skills every year, visiting the top London Academies and paying top International stylists to visit their Lincoln studios for training.
