What will the apprentice be doing?

General duties involved will include:

  • Monitor Safety, Health and Environmental performance
  • Carry out environmental management system audits
  • Carry out risk assessments, inspections and COSHH / REACH activities
  • Works with the SHEQ Manager to maintain all the quality procedures and improvements
  • Participate in continuous improvement and housekeeping duties
  • Administer all SHE and Quality customer doocumentation
  • Report any SHE and Quality issues.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

This is a two year apprenticeship resulting in a Level 3 Safety, Health and Environmental apprenticeship qualification. Training will be mainly at the company site but there will be occasions when the apprentice may need to attend the training provider, In-Comm Training Services, at either their Walsall or Telford sites (whichever is the closest).


What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Full time position in the SHE and Quality department upon successful completion of this apprenticeship, with further scope to work in the Quality Control environment - leading to a Level 4 Quality Practitioner qualification.
