What will the apprentice be doing?

Smallworld IT are working with PETA to source an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised individual to join the team as a Business Administration Apprentice. You will be creating a buzz in the business, staying ahead of others while delivering a service that is second to none. This position is ideal for someone who wants to be a part of a dynamic, resourceful and proactive team. 

The Business Administration Apprentice will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assisting colleagues in day-to-day business
  • Answering and directing telephone calls
  • Responding to general customer enquiries
  • Logging customer requests
  • Managing the CRM System
  • Scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Managing suppliers
  • General accounting
  • Supporting with basic ICT enquiries and marketing 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 10 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There is the intention for a full-time role to be offered to the successful and suitable candidate upon completion of the apprenticeship. There are excellent prospects for future progression.
