What will the apprentice be doing?

Initially, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing statutory accounts and tax computations for smaller clients
  • Working as a junior member of the audit team, completing various sections of the audit work and assisting senior members to complete the audits
  • Alongside your day-to-day office work, you will be given the support you need to complete a valuable professional qualification with paid study leave provided
  • Trainees joining us would go onto either a Level 4 or Level 7 Apprenticeship, working towards a qualification as either an Accounting Technician (AAT) or a Chartered Accountant (ACA). The AAT route often then leads onto the further ACA qualification

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Apprenticeship training is to be delivered on-site at First Intuition's Manchester city center offices. Trainees joining us would go onto either a Level 4 or Level 7 Apprenticeship, working towards a qualification as either an Accounting Technician (AAT) or a Chartered Accountant (ACA). The AAT route often then leads to further ACA qualification.

You'll also attend a series of skills workshops as part of our Impact Skills programme to help you build the soft skills you need to build your career in finance.

You'll be supported through your programme by a dedicated Skills and Development Coach who is there to ensure you get everything you need to succeed in your apprenticeship.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The apprenticeship will offer real experience whilst gaining valuable skills to allow the applicant to progress through the various levels within the firm.
