What will the apprentice be doing?
The apprentice will provide assistance with general administration duties, such as:
- Answering incoming calls
- Communicating with customers, suppliers, internal departments and group offices via email and telephone
- Internet research
- Photocopying
- Scanning
- Producing data in preparation for daily reports
- Organising events
- Updating bespoke database
- Updating excel spreadsheets
Supporting different departments as required, including sales, progess, accounts and HR.
Towards the end of the apprenticeship there will be an opportunity to specialise within one of the departments and undertake further training to gain additional qualifications.
A basic understanding of microsoft office is essential for this role, including excel, word and powerpoint, as is an understanding of the internet.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard.
In house training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis with the current finance team. You will not be required to attend Dudley College premises as the course is delivered in the workplace only. An assessor will be allocated to you to progress/help you through you course.
Continual assessments, coupled with assignments/or exams depending on course of study. Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week.
At the end of your training, you will sit an exam and submit course work as part of your assessment, and you will receive a Level 3 qualification.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Towards the end of the apprenticeship there will be an opportunity to specialise in one of the departments and undertake training to gain additional qualifications.
The possibility of a full-time post upon completing the apprenticeship, with future prospects of personal growth within the organisation.
