What will the apprentice be doing?
Tilly Mints Cherubs are looking for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice to join their experienced team in supporting the nurseries daily routines.
- Roles and responsibilities include:
Ensuring that the children are safe, secure, and happy inside and outside, whilst they are at Nursery - Assisting children with personal care, including changing nappies, assisting with toileting and other associated welfare duties
- Liaising closely with parents/carers, informing them about the Nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvement
- Understanding the cultural, religious, ethical, or personal preference issues that some parents may have in relation to their child
- General housekeeping duties to support maintaining a safe environment

Tillymints Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
- Functional skills in maths and English if required
This will be delivered through Tillymints Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise. Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.
