We are currently looking for a business administration apprentice to join and learn within our team where your role will include providing meeting support including collating papers and taking minutes for management meetings and maintain office records and filing systems, including electronic systems.

What will the apprentice be doing?

You will work alongside the HR team within the business to co-ordinate HR functions and support with administrative tasks.

The following would be expected to be seen throughout the apprenticeship:

  • Developing self awareness, managing yourself, continuing professional development, acting with integrity
  • Undertake mandatory training when required
  • Work in line with company policies and procedures
  • Take ownership for own personal development
  • Work with the people team to ensure that all training is monitored and up to date
  • Mentor and guide work-experience students
  • Organise training for all employees
  • Administer group email boxes
  • Provide meeting support including collating papers and taking minutes for management meetings
  • Participate as a member of the Leading Lives team, supporting colleagues and working collaboratively in your service line to develop services involving customers and families in the process
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings
  • Work flexibly within the service line and locality
  • Administrative cover for team members
  • Respond to employees via telephone calls personally or redirecting them as appropriate
  • Provide efficient and customer-focused first point of contact
  • Use office equipment such as printers, photocopies and fax machines
  • Administer business processes and procedures
  • Assist and coordinate team projects
  • Type and set up documents such as letters and reports
  • Keep computer records up to date
  • Maintain office records and filing systems, including electronic systems
  • Advise colleagues on procedures and policies
  • Use knowledge and expertise to improve administrative processes
  • Ensure reports and records are typed and produced in a timely manner
  • Evaluate training and develop reports, statistics and data to evidence delivery of training
  • Work with the people team to maintain KPI's

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • You will be studying the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship standard qualification
  • Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There may be potential for a permanent position as business support within the team.
