What will the apprentice be doing?

As an Apprentice Engineering Operative, you shall be involved in general engineering operations whilst developing your relevant skills and knowledge.You shall work individually or as part of a team to carry out a range of engineering operations which include:

  • Ensuring machines and equipment used are maintained
  • Operating a variety of conventional machines
  • Assembling and repairing machine and press tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other hand tools
  • Preparing materials and equipment
