To operate under the tuition of a skilled Machine operator initially a CNC Sliding Head turning machine, hopefully the ultimate goal is to become a fully skilled machine operator with a good understanding of the aerospace sector, and also come out of college with a good engineering background and qualification.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Duties will include:
- Operating, setting, and programming our new Citizen sliding head turning machine.
- Be under the supervision of a skilled machine operator, learning all the day to day tasks involved in the setup of the machine tool setting and programming.
- Learning about materials and the general set up of the machine.
- Be shown all the measuring equipment used to perform all operations and all about the inspection side of engineering CMM, Shadowgraph Etc.

Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Qualification
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) – Awarding organisation EAL; GLH 750, this qualification ensures full knowledge to complete the fitting role.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
After completion of your apprenticeship you will potentially have the opportunity to progress onto full-time positions within the business.
