What will the apprentice be doing?

You will contribute to a high-quality caring environment for children. 

Duties will include:

  • Create a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally through individual attention and group activities.
  • Help in all aspects of nursery life from reading stories to flying kites in the park.
  • Assist with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children.
  • Under supervision, provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding.

 

 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Early years practitioner apprenticeship level 2
  • Functional skills in maths and English if required
  • Training will be delivered one day per week at our Somer Valley Campus in term time only.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

On completion of the apprenticeship there will always be a position within the nursery. If you want continue your studies you would be supported. You can also gain experience to develop your career.

About the employer

Alice Park nursery was established 15 years ago. we are open 50 weeks of the year and care for 20 children per day. We have three different age groups of children from 1 years old to 4 years old, they have their own play/education rooms with age-appropriate toys. We are lucky to be based in Alice park and the children get to enjoy the park everyday.
