What will the apprentice be doing?
Accounts payable:
- Processing supplier invoices, ensuring that they match to the authorised purchase order
- Ensuring discrepancies between order and invoice are authorised appropriately
- Reconciling supplier statements and updating the ledger accordingly
Accounts receivable:
- Processing cash received from customers in line with remittances provided
Fixed assets:
- Assisting with the fixed asset physical verification
- Ensuring all new assets are labelled and photographs are attached to the register
Inventory:
- Reviewing the cycle count variance reports and ensuring all discrepancies are authorised
- Assisting with the year end WIP count
Month end / processing:
- Process month end journals as required
- Reconciliation of subcontractor costs and calculation of accrual
- Ad hoc duties as required
