What will the apprentice be doing?

Accounts payable:

  • Processing supplier invoices, ensuring that they match to the authorised purchase order
  • Ensuring discrepancies between order and invoice are authorised appropriately
  • Reconciling supplier statements and updating the ledger accordingly

Accounts receivable:

  • Processing cash received from customers in line with remittances provided

Fixed assets:

  • Assisting with the fixed asset physical verification
  • Ensuring all new assets are labelled and photographs are attached to the register

Inventory:

  • Reviewing the cycle count variance reports and ensuring all discrepancies are authorised
  • Assisting with the year end WIP count

Month end / processing:

  • Process month end journals as required
  • Reconciliation of subcontractor costs and calculation of accrual
  • Ad hoc duties as required
