What will the apprentice be doing?

As an Apprentice you will gain skills and knowledge in:

* Producing CAD drawings
* Preparing simple calculations
* Supporting the administration of projects
* Ensuring outputs meet the required standards
* Meeting agreed deadlines
* Maintaining drawing register
* Working as a member of a team
* Contributing to providing solutions to problems
* Working both in an office environment and on site visits

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Will be working towards Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician

College duration 24 months (college day release at York College)

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon completion of the Level 3 Diploma and subject to your overall performance, there will be an opportunity to become a permanent employee of Alan Wood & Partners at that time and to go on to further part-time study to enable you to be qualified to degree level (having completed the Level 3 course successfully) and achieve Incorporated/Chartered status in the future.

Driving license is needed for this role due to remote location of the site and travel involved in the role.
