What will the apprentice be doing?
- Data input duties and to assist with the preparation of reports using College / Northern Skills Group Information systems
- Taking telephone and other telecommunications messages
- To undertake general filing of electronic and paper correspondence for Directorate / Department
- All non-confidential word processing
- To assist staff in preparation of learning materials (where appropriate)
- To facilitate the use of a Multi-Functional Device (MFD) for Directorate / Departmental staff
- To keep Directorate / Departmental notice boards up to date
- To assist with enrolment
- To support staff in receiving visitors to the Directorate / Department
- To actively show a commitment to the Directorate / Departmental Strategic Objectives
- To show an active commitment to the College's Equality and Diversity Policy, Quality Frameworks and Health & Safety Procedures
- To actively participate in Continuous Professional Development including the introduction of new technologies to allow you to contribute effectively to the success of the College
- To carry out such other appropriate duties commensurate with your skills, knowledge and experience
- The College may, in consultation with you, need to vary these duties from time to time in order to respond to the changing requirements of the College
Additional Duties -
- Support the project team with administrative paperwork, and liaise with both learners and employers.
- Support the business development managers with lead generation and apprentice vacancies.
- Support the recruitment team with administration in relation to apprenticeship vacancies.
- Maintain and update a computerised prospect database. (e.g. health and safety’s, SLA’s, ELI’s).
- Support external customers in setting up their digital apprenticeship account.
- Cover the STEM reception when required.
- Willing to support with other projects within the business development team.
- Support with applicant pre-employment checks that apply for apprenticeships delivered by Northern Skills Group.Support with advertising apprenticeship vacancies using a variety of advertising mediums.
- Support with telephone screenings for new applicants applying for apprenticeships and arrange first stage interviews.
- Support with the setup of initial assessments at first stage interviews, including invigilating these assessments.
- Keep the ProEngage system up to date.
- Provide apprenticeship information, advice and guidance to applicants including CV writing support.
- Support with applicant queries.
- Provide regular contact to active candidates.
- Attendance at apprenticeship related events- regional travel.
- Support with pushing current vacancies on our social media platforms.
