What will the apprentice be doing?

Are you looking to kick start your career in IT with a supportive employer? If you have a passion for IT, an interest in troubleshooting and great communication skills, this role could be ideal for you.

Medhurst Communications have been successfully recruiting and supporting apprentices to kick start their careers for over 10 years. Medhurst Communications are committed to providing an extensive programme of training to help apprentices to learn how to deliver first class IT support.

Joining the team as an IT Support Apprentice, you will learn:

  • How to provide IT support on both hardware and software including desktop PCs, mobile devices, audio visual and networking equipment
  • How to maintain and troubleshoot IT equipment
  • How to identify and resolve technical problems

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As an IT Support Apprentice, you will be studying towards a level three ICT Support Technician apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is 22 months in length and will involve ongoing onsite training and mentoring from the Medhurst team combined with 25 days of off the job training at the PETA training centre in Cosham.

  • PETA Server Fundamentals
  • PETA Security Fundamentals
  • 10 Quality of Life (QoL) training days
