What will the apprentice be doing?
You must be willing to work towards a Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship. You must be Level 3 Qualified in Early Years Educator, or equivalent Ofsted approved qualification.
The Qualification is a Level 5 Foundation Degree. As such, there is an expectation that students will enter into self-study and research as they would if attending university. The qualification is delivered in the workplace, and does not require mandatory day-release attendance at College.
This role would suit someone with experience in childcare looking for a part-time position.
Daily duties:
- You will need to take an operational lead for the care, learning and development of all young children within your care, adapting to individual needs and providing inclusive and holistic provision.
- You are taking full responsibility for supporting the quality of learning and development in the setting.
- Leading on the operational aspects of this provision, and typically leading other practitioners in an element or environment such as; Communication and Language, Planning and Assessment, Forest School, Physical Activity and Nutrition and reporting directly to the head of the setting.
