We are looking for a level 3 apprentice to join our team, someone who is ambitious, willing and eager to learn and progress through their career. You must enjoy being with children and watching their development. You will be helping in both the classroom & outside at the Forest School.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Your duties will include:
- Looking after children including recognising their needs and supporting their play
- Assisting the nursery team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and develop children in our care
- Ensuring all daily routines are adhered to
- Settling in new children and provide on-going support, liaising with parents and maintaining good communications
- Maintaining children’s records
- Assisting in maintaining a safe, clean environment
- Keeping abreast of current issues and attend training as necessary
- Contributing to and participating in team meetings/team activities
- Ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented in the nursery
- Respecting confidentiality within the setting
- Communicating with parents and other visitors in a calm, friendly and efficient manner
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Your apprenticeship will be delivered by Brighter Horizons Training. As part of this you will complete the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator and you will be supported with upskilling in English and maths if you do not already have a GCSE grade 4/C or above or equivalent. Following successful End Point Assessment, you will be awarded the Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship.
Delivery will be through on-line zoom virtual sessions every 4-6 weeks and you will have regular support from your assessor to get you ready for your End Point Assessment.
Upskilling classes for English and maths are delivered fortnightly late afternoon/early evening.
Apprentices must successfully complete a first aid qualification in line with the requirements of the EYFS Framework.
