What will the apprentice be doing?

Day to day duties:

  • Daily posting of bank receipts. Allocate payments, including following up on any missing
  • remittances
  • Completion of daily bank reconciliations & monthly invoice discounting reconciliations
  • Reconciliation and reducing unapplied cash
  • Generating customer statements as required
  • Reconciling statements with customers
  • Providing support to credit controllers to collect customer debt by phone and email in accordance with the credit policy
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with both internal colleagues and our customers
  • Preparation of other ad-hoc reports

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The learner will be studying the Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
  • Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

If they are successful with the Apprenticeship program and meet the expectations of the department, we are happy to offer them a permanent contract.
