  • Annual wage

    £12,750.00

    Wage is for first year only. Salary increases sharply in line with capabilities, minimum of one rise per year. Discretional bonus's available. Company offers full sick pay, 25 days leave (ex. Bank Holidays) and perkbox benifits.

  • Working week

    Mon to Thurs 8am to 4.45pm with a half hour lunch and a 15 min break in the morning and afternoon. Fri 8am to 12.30pm with one 15 min break. Overtime available Mon to Fri.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Calibration and operation of a wide range of electronic equipment

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The apprenticeship is a Level 3 for engineering fitter consisting of:

  • EAL Advanced technical certificate - completed at Petroc Campus in Barnstaple 1 day per week for 2 years.
  • NVQ levels 2 & 3 Performing engineering operations - completed as part of the job and at home

In the role you will start off learning about basic calibration processes and how to calibrate the more simple equipment.  Once the fundamentals are learned you will move on to more complex equipment.  Further academic training is available to those who would like to continue their qualification journey.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Academically the Company will fund up to and including degree level qualifications. This would enable you to have a complete and varied career in engineering / electronics.  Within Eurofins we like to promote from within the organisation so leadership training is available to those looking for a more managerial career path.
