What will the apprentice be doing?
You will be trained at our Electronics manufacturing facility in Shefford,
You will be trained within various Electronics manufacturing departments, including PCB Soldering, Unit / Cable Assembly and Automated Surface Mount PCB assembly.
You will be trained in the following duties:
- Building in accordance with manufacturing drawings and documentation
- Carry out both repeat production assembly accross each department
- Use of fine hand tools
Key Skills / Experience Required:
- Positive attitude at all times
- Attention to detail is essential
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and a high standard of personal performance
- Flexible and reliable
Day Shifts, 40 hours per week.
An interest in electronics would be beneficial but not essential.
Any previous experience with electronics would be beneficial but not essential.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Your training will be delivered by the Engineering Trust at our Site in Shefford - Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2).
Your course can start anytime, there is no need to wait until September to be enrolled.
- Level 2 Diploma in engineering operations (skills)
- Level 2 Certificate or Diploma in engineering operations (knowledge)
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
You can progress to a level 3 (A-level) Engineering course or continue to gain skills within the business as an experienced Inspector.
