What will the apprentice be doing?
A great opportunity to work with an independent foodservice wholesaler, serving to the catering trade within Kent. This is working with a small dynamic team, dealing with a variety of roles in a fast paced envronment.
Main Duties:
- Responsible for the checking of ‘goods in’ ensuring that quantities match delivery notes and goods are in acceptable condition.
- To receipt goods into our software programme prior to passing to our bought ledger team for payment.
- Chasing suppliers by email and telephone to confirm bookings and pricing.
- Answering and handling incoming calls or redirecting as required.
- Checking for short, dated stock.
- Counts of chilled stock.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Business Administration Level 3.
- On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard.
- Regular work-based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
