What will the apprentice be doing?

The successful candidate will not only be involved in every day stable duties, but also the producing and exercising of the livery horses, for the right candidate.

Some duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Feeding and turning in/out of horses
  • Stable management and maintenance
  • Grooming and show preparation
  • Exercising, including hacking & schooling

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment
  • The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship
  • The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and onsite visits throughout the apprenticeship

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Future full-time employment at Tunstall will be available for the right candidate
