What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Responsible for all site facilities such as lighting, both internal and external. Toilets and plumbing, compressed air, sprinkler system maintenance, BRC compliance works, GPW PM checks, insurance checks, emergency lighting and general repairs to building
  • Responsible for all Telford properties (NDC, Annex A & B, Highways, SWH)
  • Responsible for general site upkeep and gardening
  • Responsible for any site fabrication work
  • Support engineering TPM activities
  • Continually researches innovate solutions aimed at ensuring the optimal operation of production equipment and improves electrical maintenance effciency
  • Utilising the CWMS shire system to log all work orders across the site

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • This is a four year apprenticeship and you will achieve level three Engineering Technician qualification - Electrical pathway
  • The successful apprentice will attend the training provider, 2.5 days per week for the first two years, at In-Comm Training Services in Telford, TF3 3AJ

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Full time position at the end of the apprenticeship and further development within the company for the right candidate, dependent on business needs
