What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be:

  • Managing rotas ensuring these are used to the best effect for the physical, social and emotional care of residents and effective running of the establishment.
  • Ensuring that team members understand and endorse the Trust values.
  • Responsible for clear lines of communication ensuring employees is fully conversant with their duties.
  • Supporting and participating in any training requirements.
  • Ensuring all medications, including controlled drugs are administered, recorded, maintained, and replenished at all times in accordance with the Trust policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring care is delivered in accordance with the care plan.
    Monitoring and re-evaluating care needs in partnership with the resident.
  • Promoting resident wellbeing by monitoring and re-evaluation of care needs in partnership with the resident.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Over the course of 18 months (dependent upon the level of course an apprentice is being enrolled onto), you will study modules such as personal development in care settings, the responsibilities of a care worker, handling information in care settings, implementing person-centred care plans, safeguarding & protection in care settings, duty of care in care settings, communication in care settings, equality & inclusion in care settings and health & safety and wellbeing in care settings (these units may differ).

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will achieve a Level 3 qualification and a TQUK Diploma in Care.

Things to consider

Candidates Must be 18 or over, due offering personal care to residents. We are offering both day time and night time lead adult care worker positions at this location.
