Things to consider

Although this role is predominantly in the warehouse you will be learning everything within the company and as such be willing to roll your sleeves up and get involved in a variety of tasks. If you have any engineering or CAD experience that would be great. If you are comfortable with Microsoft programmes including Word and Excel that would also be useful. A full clean driving licence is also prefered as local deliveries may also be involved.

Portway’s tooling is produced on high precision machine tools using the very latest technology for us to be a competitive manufacturer. Ultimately, the parts from our tooling for the automotive industry are supplied to companies such as BMW, Mercedes Benz, Renault, Toyota and Honda. Metal parts off tooling for the computer industry are covers, bases, cage drives and internal support brackets for companies such as Compaq, IBM, Digital and Xerox.
