What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Switchboard duties including screening calls and taking phone messages
  • Creating internal purchase orders
  • Calendar management of the internal meeting rooms
  • Co-ordination of incoming and outgoing post, including booking couriers and where required tracking the delivery of parcels
  • Placing business card orders for new employees
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of large meetings
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required, including supporting with general

To meet the requirements of the level 3 business administrator Apprenticeship programme, you will need to spend 6 hours a week of your time undertaking off-the-job learning, which will include:

  • 1-2-1s with your coach and line manager
  • Observing and shadowing colleagues
  • Writing up learning reflections for your portfolio
  • Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
