What will the apprentice be doing?

Flourish Day Nursery Esher will be a hybrid nursery with a mixture of our own bespoke early years curriculum and an emphasis on natural resources to spark children’s natural curiosity, along with regular use of outdoor learning at the local common throughout the week, covering all seven 7 areas of the EYFS.

  • Truly understand the importance of the first 5 vital years in every child’s life.
  • To provide a safe, fun, stimulating yet motivated environment to help each child reach their full potential.
  • Encouraging, motivating, engaging and inspiring children through positive outdoor experiences, closely entwined with the concepts of free flow play and learning from play.
  • Embedding emotional intelligence in children by ensuring the understanding of emotions and how to express them positively through actions and words.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship.
  • Training will take place in the workplace and the apprentice will also attend Nescot College, KT17 3DS every other Friday. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Typical job roles are nursery nurse, playworker, childminder, teaching assistant, educational support assistant.
