What will the apprentice be doing?
You'll develop highly transferable skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors to be successful within a business.
- Responsible for keeping information up to date and correct in all relevant systems and databases
- Maintaining the critical path
- Supporting Assistant Buyers with analysis of the fashion market and customer activity through competitive shops, sales and trend
- Supporting weekly trade meetings through best seller reports
- Maintenance of samples – chasing and booking in
- Racking up samples with care and consideration for sign offs and range reviews
- Ad-hoc duties are also an essential daily part of the role as you are providing full administrative support to the buying team
- With the support of your manager, dedicate the required 6 hours a week off the job training to complete the relevant apprenticeship activities
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Upon successful completion you'll gain a Level 3 Business Administrator qualification which is equivalent to an A Level
- The role is based in Northern Quarter, Manchester
- Training will be one day a week
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
This role will support your own progression towards management responsibilities in the future. From an Admin Assistant, you can progress within Buying to be Assistant Buyer (1), Assistant Buyer (2), Buyer, Senior Buyer right up to Head and Director level.
As this role collaborates with teams across the Product division and other areas of the business, you can learn about other career opportunities and routes of progression too.
