What will the apprentice be doing?
Since people are at the core of what we do, our aim is to give students day-to-day work experience in Retrofit and Surveying to assist in their future development and employment.
The successful candidate will be supervised by the directors and provide valuable support to the surveying team.
Key responsibilities:
- Liaise with tenants to arrange appointments
- Create photographic records of properties
- Visit properties to collect survey data
- Input survey data using a handheld device or laptop
- Provide weekly updates on progress
- Respond to data validation queries
- Report to the directors
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
After a period of foundation skills and technical knowledge development, all apprentices will have achieved all the relevant qualifications within the L3 Surveying standard alongside a Level 3 Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.
Training will take place at company premises and 1 day per week at Wigan and Leigh College.
