Apprentices will be trained to IMI Level 2 Auto-care Technician Standard (Vehicle Mechanics) combined with a Level 3 NNQ in After Market VCQ. The role is based from Vehicle Engineering in Walsall but with the opportunity to work from other sites for short periods to broaden your experience.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Typically the type of work Apprentice Technicians will be involved in will include;
- Design – assisting in the development of technical solutions by producing design models, calculations, reports and drawings, surveying a site, using appropriate analysis and relevant codes.
- Site engineering - operating quality systems and Health, Safety and Risk Management procedures and checking specified technical aspects of site activities.
- The aim of the apprenticeship is to develop an individual as a competent CS&A Technician.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will gain a variety of National qualifications, this includes:
- IMI Level 2 Autocare
- NNQ level 3 Aftermarket VCQ
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon completion apprentices will be equipped to apply for internal vacancies.
