What will the apprentice be doing?
- To work alongside existing Site Maintenance Fitters
- To provide routine breakdown and mechanical maintenance of process equipment including pumps, valves,compressors, gearboxes so as to ensure safe and efficient operation
- To undertake routine maintenance monitoring and repairs in industrial and office environments
- To maintain records of work undertaken and of routine and exceptional inspections, testing and similar activities to allow the effective management of process equipment
- Municipal services - household waste collection, street
cleansing, parks and gardens maintenance - Business waste solutions – waste collection and recycling services for small and large companies
- Recycling - material recycling facilities household waste recycling centres
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Delivery to be completed on site and off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work
- The student will complete a Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship
