What will the apprentice be doing?
As a Design Engineering Apprentice your first year will be spent in the workplace. Carrying out product development projects in a timely manner. Main duties will be the design and development of sheet metal parts, producing CAD drawings in 2D and 3D.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
During your 1st and 2nd years youwill be studying towards the Engineering Fitter Standard ST0432. Which will consist of the EAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering alongside the EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Within Greenfield Engineering, there is the potential to progress to a Senior Management position.
