What will the apprentice be doing?

As a growing business, this is an exciting chance to learn and work in a thriving environment, supporting our customers day-to-day over the phone, by email and live chat. Full training and mentorship is provided.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Answering email enquiries via Zendesk
  • Answering phone calls and dealing with phone enquiries 
  • Responding to live chat enquiries

Skills and experience required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A friendly, patient, and positive approach to our customers and work
  • Previous experience in customer service
  • Computer literate & learns quickly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Flexible can-do attitude
  • Language skills would be an advantage (multi-lingual)

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Apprenticeship programme will be delivered at the workplace on a 1-2-1 basis with the appointed Learning Coach from Total People Ltd. Training, support, and mentoring provided by the business. 3 month probation period. Learners are required to have or achieved Level 1 in English and Mathematics (or relevant equivalent) and to have sat Level 2 English and Mathematics qualifications (or relevant equivalent) during or before completion of their apprenticeship. Support provided by your Tutor to complete this.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Apprenticeship Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner professional qualification. £21,500 Annual Salary Once Qualified. Reviewed yearly based on standards being met. Incremental increase of salary of £1k per annum based on performance. Capped at £24,500. An opportunity to gain valuable experience within a business environment.
