What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Switchboard calls
  • Greeting visitors
  • Taking deliveries for head office
  • Booking internal meeting rooms
  • Providing refreshments for meetings
  • Updating spreadsheets
  • Opening and date stamping post
  • Copying, scanning, and distributing post
  • Typing duties, i.e. letters and reports etc.
  • Mark up, date stamp, and barcode invoices
  • Scanning invoices and various documents
  • Photocopying and filing
  • Archiving of paperwork for all departments

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will work towards the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard.

The apprenticeship will be carried out in the work place and you will be assigned a 'work-based tutor' from Hopwood Hall College who will support you through your qualification.

You may be required to work towards Level 2 Functional skills in maths and English if not already achieved.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, this may lead to a permanent position with the employer and further progression.
