What will the apprentice be doing?

 
Day to day job duties will include: 

  • Providing excellent customer service by working within the quality function to support a zero-defect mindset
  • Ensuring internal communication is of a high standard giving as much data as possible
  • Working on quality documentation to support the business needs
  • Supporting with internal audits for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
  • Obtaining an understanding of the SAP system to provide data for quality reporting
  • Working with current work instructions to update any risk assessments
  • Using Valeo problem solving tools QRQC and also PDCA, PFMEA and LLC
  • Learning, understanding and actively taking part in the quality process to promote a zero-defect mindset
  • Working with the warranty team to understand factors behind warranty claims
  • Take part in daily warranty and quality meetings
  • Audit internal processes 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

This is a level 4 Quality Improvement apprenticeship. The training will be delivered online and you will also have monthly assessor visits to the company, delivered over a period of 14 months.

Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Quality engineering position may be offered on a permanent / FTC basis.
