We have opportunities to join our Engineering team at our teams at our Hillhouse site based in Thornton Cleveleys. Our engineering teams cover a wide range of disciplines and work across our different manufacturing facilities. We are looking for an Electrical Instrument Technician and a Mechanical Technician.

    £10,625.00

    We offer you a full time, permanent contract, alongside a competitive rate of pay, generous company pension scheme, potential annual bonus with optional private health care and share save schemes. You get 29 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays.

  • Working week

    Training School will be 9am-4pm for Year 1. Yr2 onwards will be 8am-4pm. Following successful completion you will move onto a 24hr shift pattern, this includes a shift allowance.

What will the apprentice be doing?

As an Engineering apprentice you will spend your first year at a specialist training facility. You will learn basic engineering and craft skills, giving you a great foundation to progress. You will then join us on site, based within our training team where you will undertake more formal in-house training for the next three years with our Engineering teams. You will then specialise in your particular Engineering field with the opportunity to complete some additional formal qualifications in your chosen area. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will be working towards Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician standards and formal NVQ and BTEC Level 3 qualifications.

Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Many of our apprentices go on to do further qualifications, continuing to develop their careers with us.

Things to consider

Your pay will increase annually when meeting and passing standards each year. Circa 10% annual increases.
