What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Working on water chillers and commercial and industrial heat pumps
  • Attend and participate in customer site visits, shadowing one of our qualified technicians
  • Helping to troubleshoot and support technically challenging breakdowns, both in person and remote
  • Learning about refrigeration and air conditioning systems
  • Working on fans and air handling equipment

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will gain the level 3 Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Engineering Technician qualification 

All apprentices must achieve a “Level 2 Certificate in F Gas and ODS Regulations Category 1” as this is a legal requirement under the EU F Gas Regulation 517/2014 to work on equipment containing Fluorinated Refrigerants.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

As a Service Technician Apprentice, the main goal of this role is to learn and understand the refrigeration/air conditioning industry with the aim of qualifying as a Service Technician.
