What will the apprentice be doing?
You will be taught the whole bakery process including:
- Weighing up ingredients
- Bread mixing
- Fermentation and proving
- You will also be taught how to operate and manage our ovens to produce our high-quality breads and rolls
- You will also understand and be taught skills by our confectionery team that will include creaming, piping and coating along with learning from our chocolatier
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- On successful completion, the apprentice will achieve an Apprenticeship - Bakery (Standard) - Level 2
- English and maths qualifications form a mandatory part of all apprenticeships and must be completed before an apprentice can pass through gateway
This apprenticeship will be delivered as 4 days per week working onsite with the employer and 1 day per week attending college to complete assignments and coursework etc.
