What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Building Blocks Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • L2 Practitioner
  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
  • Functional skills in Maths and English if required

This will be delivered through Building Block Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise.

Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.

Permanent Position if suitable, progression onto level 3.

About the employer

Based in Birmingham, West Midlands, we opened our first nursery in Kingstanding in November 2002, our Handsworth Wood branch followed in April 2004, and our third nursery opened more recently in February 2016. The nursery group has two directors, Tina Hart and Alex Jones. They’re both Early Years Graduates and the nursery group is managed by Tina Hart, managing director. Each branch has a designated, full-time branch manager and deputy manager, and all three nurseries are supported by our SEN and Inclusion Manager who ensure that all children receive appropriate experiences and learning opportunities. We’re open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with half- and full-days available.
