What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Handling and processing of sensitive company information.
  • Organise and schedule meetings and prepare agendas.
  • Minute taking for meetings and applicable company processes.
  • Prepare internal and external corporate documents.
  • Provide administrative support to internal business departments where necessary.
  • Collating and reporting on health and safety specific data.
  • Assist in health and safety investigations.
  • Collate information from internal and operational audits.
  • Arrange and plan occupational health assessments.
  • Assist in the company recruitment process.
  • Process employee inductions.
  • Input and maintain employee data.
  • Coordinate training for company employees.
  • Effective liaison with labour agencies.
  • Updating customer and supplier information.
  • Assist in financial and accounting activities where applicable.
  • Assist in business development and company projects.
  • Uphold a strict level of confidentiality.
  • Co-operate with internal audits.
  • Any other reasonable requests by management.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will complete a full ‘Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard’. The training will be provided by Birmingham Metropolitan College on a day release basis once per week.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Potential future administration position with opportunity for progression as the business continues to grow/expand.

Things to consider

You must have either completed your Business Admin Level 2 apprenticeship or have at least 6 months office work experience. Your application will be rejected if you do not meet the criteria.
